An autopsy conducted Tuesday on the body of a man found floating in Hilo Bay last week has ruled out foul play in his death.
An autopsy conducted Tuesday on the body of a man found floating in Hilo Bay last week has ruled out foul play in his death.
The medical examiner determined that the unidentified man died from asphyxia due to drowning. Detectives are still attempting to confirm his identity so they can notify his family.
Shortly after 8 p.m. on Sept. 24, the unresponsive man was found floating face down about 15 feet from shore off Banyan Drive.
